Police are searching for a woman who stole goods from a Hilo store on Tuesday and struck an employee.
The woman left the store on the 300 block of East Makaala Street at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday with several items.
With a 27-year old female store employee attempted to meet the woman outside the store, she became combative and struck the employee. The suspect then ran into the parking lot and left in a white two-door sedan.
She is described as Caucasian, in her early 40s, about 5-foot-11 and 130 pounds with dark eyes and short dark hair. She was wearing a white long-sleeved dress. Her image was captured on a surveillance camera.
Police ask anyone with any information on the identity of the woman in the photograph or any information about this case to call the Hawaii Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Officer Tyler Jelsma at 961-2213.
