Weston Gaddis
Weston “Wes” Bailey Gaddis, 29, of Akron-Canton, Ohio died Feb. 13, 2016, in Ohio. Born Feb. 21, 1986, in Kailua-Kona he was a production crew member for Matalco, Inc. in Akron-Canton, Ohio.
A celebration of life and potluck will be held at 10 a.m. July 3 at OTEC Beach in Kailua-Kona. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by son, Kekoa Gaddis; daughters, Lia Gaddis, Braelynn Gaddis, all of Ohio; parents, Robert and Alice Gaddis-Lindsey of Ohio; hanai parents, Kalei (Kenny) Haleamau-Kam of Kailua-Kona, Dennis and Anna Villanueva of Captain Cook; hanai brother, Samuel Gaddis of Ohio; sisters, Mia (Keola) Crivello of Hookena, Kanoe Kahihikolo of Kailua-Kona; numerous aunts, uncles, hanai brothers, hanai sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Yayeko Wakida
Yayeko “Yaeko” “Betty” Wakida, 93, of Hilo died June 9, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Onomea, she was employed as a kitchen worker in the dietary department of the former Hilo Memorial Hospital. She was a retired farmer, homemaker, member of the Koboji Shingon Mission on Oahu and the Honomu Henjoji Mission.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.
She is survived by daughters, Myra Wakida, Ruth Wakida, both of Hilo; brothers, Takumi (Molly) Isotani of Hilo, Van Isotani of Honolulu; sister, Lynn (George) Tanaka of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
