Leading by example?

Leading by example?

I was really touched by the letter of Debra Zager about Wally Lau. Really touched! After reading all those nice things, I couldn’t help saying what a nice guy! Then, after reading more of her letter and about how an effective leader leads by example, I suddenly remembered, isn’t this the same guy who was aware of the taxpayers dollars being stolen (sorry, allegedly stolen) by our mayor?

Isn’t this the same guy who has been in position to stop the abuse of the pCard system, yet has done nothing? I think Wally Lau already has proven he is not qualified to be a leader, not to mention to be a mayor, and I sincerely hope the voters of this island have recognized that, too.

No reason for assault weapons

Military assault weapons (MAW) within a civilian society is absurd. The Second Amendment does not mean or infer that MAW are included.

The First Amendment of free speech is not an absolute right, it has restrictions. The Second Amendment is not an absolute right either, it can and should have restrictions against MAW.

When is the Congress going to act and protect the public from MAW?
