“Island Music Night,” presented by the Hawaii Songwriting Festival is June 17 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. On June 18, the festival culminates with a second event, the “Hit Makers Concert.”

“Island Music Night” gets underway at 7 p.m. and will feature Raiatea Helm, Paula Fuga, John Cruz, Ernie Cruz Jr., Ken Makuakane, Streetlight Cadence and more.

Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door. They are available at Parker Ranch Store, Music exchange Stores, Basically Books and online at www.hawaiisongwritingfestival.com.

The 7 p.m. June 18 “Hit Makers” concert features a roster of Billboard-charting songwriters including Brett James, Tom Higgenson (of the Plain White T’s) with his “Hey There Delilah,” Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman, Johnny Clay, “Kidd” Rich and more. These hit songwriters will be performing and sharing back-stories about their hit songs were written.
