Take your stained glass skills to the next level or try your hand at making stained glass art in workshop taught by glass artists Claudia McCall and Louis Pollock starting June 16 at Volcano Art Center.

All of the basic techniques will be covered, from glass cutting, foiling, soldering, and completing with patina and polishing compound. McCall and Pollock will share their expertise and knowledge, teaching students the skills involved in working safely with stained glass, and creating a beautiful, sturdy piece of art.

“Stained Glass” will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday evenings June 16, 23 and 30 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday mornings June 18 and 25 and July 2. Cost for the six-session workshop is $150 for nonmembers and $135 for VAC members.

The workshop is open to beginners and experienced students. Attendees are asked to wear long pants, covered shoes and safety glasses. Advance registration is required and the workshop will be limited to six adults. To register, call Volcano Art Center at 967-8222.
