Flyovers a pain

Flyovers a pain

The concern over ohia rot is a concern for our county but the flying of aircraft to survey the damage is in my opinion causing the blight to be spread.

I found out from the department of aviation that we cannot do anything about the state or federal government doing this, flying over our areas for three hours at a time. This also causes people to be concerned about the ranch and farm animals being droned so long. Plus, the ranchers and farmers who are doing their work outside are stressed from having to hear this obnoxious noise for hours on end.

Why doesn’t the government put out warnings of flyovers or stop flying period and stop the spread of our problem.

My Turn author impressive

I am incredibly impressed by the position expressed by Arne Werchick regarding the importance of scientific discovery in the May 27 WHT Opinion section.

Without berating those who oppose the TMT project, or questioning the relevance of religion in the world’s societies, Mr. Werchick articulated the extreme importance of humanity’s continued quest to explore the universe in search of reality.
