KAILUA-KONA— The death of Marsha Mansker, 62, Kailua-Kona, was ruled a suicide.
She was found dead of a gunshot wound to her head in her home in Kona Highland subdivision after a call at 7:11 a.m. March 31.
Her husband, James Mansker, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder at 9:30 a.m. March 31 and released from custody at 2:15 p.m. April 1. The Hawaii Police Department confirmed the ruling on Friday.
The investigation involved thorough work, said Lt. Gerald Wike of the police department’s investigative section, which included contacting family members.
Marsha Mansker was born March 2, 1954, in Illinois, according to her obituary. She was survived by two daughters, both of Oahu.
