Alan Katsuo Wakatsuki, 62, of Kailua-Kona died May 4, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1953, in Ewa, Oahu he was a retired banquet porter at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel and was a banquet porter at the former Kona Surf.
Friends may call at noon May 22 at Kailua Pier in Kailua-Kona. A reception will follow at Honu’s Restaurant in King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. The family requests casual attire be worn. Loose flowers are welcome.
He is survived by sisters, Karen Gieser of Cotati, Calif., Janice (Gareth Yee) Wakatsuki of Honolulu; hanai brother, Paul (Cookie) Ngaluafe of Kailua-Kona; hanai sons, Soane Ngaluafe, Shannon Pua Jr., both of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughter, Uilani Ngaluafe of Kailua-Kona; two nephews; several cousins.

Victoria Kuuleialoha “Ku” Cox, 53, of Waimea died April 13, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kohala, he was a meat processor with Hawaii Beef Producers in Paauilo.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 22 at “The Deck” at Kahua Ranch off Kohala Mountain Road for an 11 a.m. service. Lunch will follow. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by daughter, Heidi (Fatso Paiva) Cox of Paauilo; son, Tyler (Laakea Bertelmann) Cox of Waimea; brother, Henry (Ann) Giltner of Waikoloa; sisters, Roberta (Alvin) Perez of Kohala, Tammy (Ted) White of Honokaa, Jamie (Klem) Kaniho of Waimea; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert Duby
Robert William Duby, 76, of Hawi died April 13, 2016, at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born June 2, 1939, in Rockingham, Vt., he was a small engine mechanic and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. on May 22 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawi for a 2 p.m. service. Inurnment will follow in the church’s cemetery. The family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by daughter, Marie (Russell Sugai) Duby-Sugai of Honolulu; son, Preston (Cheryl) Duby of North Kohala; sister, Pat Franklin of Vermont; brother, Donald Duby of Vermont; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tirso Piedad Amazona, 84, of Kealakekua died May 6, 2016, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born Sept. 24, 1931, in Baler, Quezon, Philippines, he was a retired yardman at the former Keauhou Beach Hotel and a macadamia nut picker for K. Oue Ltd.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 23 at the Kona Outdoor Circle, 76- 6280 Kuakini Highway Kailua-Kona, for a 5 p.m. memorial service. Dinner will follow. The family requests casual attire and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Aniceta Amazona of Kealakekua; sons, Edwin (Dorothy) Amazona of Kailua-Kona, Loreto (Bembie) Amazona of Philippines, Rodolfo (Nonita) Amazona, Rolando (Irma) Amazona, and Rodel (Melba) Amazona, all of Kailua-Kona, Rowell (Cecille) Amazona of Kealakekua; daughters, Solidad Molina of Philippines, Belinda Amazona of Kealakekua; numerous brothers, sisters of the Philippines; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
