Luciana Jose
Luciana “Lucing” Rivera Jose, 85, of Hilo died April 25, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Atok, Flora, Apayao, Philippines, she was a self-employed guava and papaya farmer and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. May 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. May 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pahoa for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
OVERSET FOLLOWS:She is survived by husband, Angelo Jose of Hilo; sons, Victor (Debbie Tagalicod) Jose of Pahoa, Joel Jose of Pepeekeo; daughters, Erma (Rudy) Natividad, Bong (Irene Pasol) Rivera, both of Lihue, Kauai, Gemmalee (John) Arellano of Keaau, Judith (Lito) Acob of Hilo; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
