HONOLULU (AP) — A Kapolei High School student counselor faces prison time if convicted on an indictment that says he solicited a minor for prostitution.

HONOLULU (AP) — A Kapolei High School student counselor faces prison time if convicted on an indictment that says he solicited a minor for prostitution.

KITV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1sn4zHn) the 39-year-old counselor has been on leave since his arrest at the school on May 3.

The Department of Education says he has worked with grades 11 and 12 at Kapolei High School since 2009.

Bail was set at $10,000.

A conviction could mean up to five years in prison.

It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
