WAILUKU (AP) — Maui police are investigating the deaths of a man and his ex-wife as a murder-suicide.
Police say they found Dominador Basuel dead outside a Kahului home Thursday with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say a handgun was near his body.
Inside the house police found the body of his ex-wife, Leticia Basuel. Police say it appears she was wounded with a “bladed instrument.”
The Basuels were pronounced dead at the scene.
