Hawaii Island police arrested Leilani Estates resident John Ali Hoffman early Friday after responding about 1:30 a.m. to a disturbance in the Puna subdivision. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area and stopped it. Inside they discovered Hoffman and the body of an adult woman.

When officers went to the home where the disturbance was reported, they reportedly found two additional bodies inside.
