Each will play a solo, as well as perform a few four-hand pieces together.
First prize winner of the 2010 Naumburg International Piano Competition and the 2004 Concert Artist Guild International Competition, Korean-American pianist Lee has been lauded by the New York Times as a pianist with “a huge, richly varied sound, a lively imagination and a firm sense of style,” and by the Washington Post for her “stunning command of the keyboard.”
Dank won a place on the Young Concert Artists roster in 2009 and subsequently made his New York recital debut at Merkin Hall in December 2009. In 2010, he earned second prize in the Naumburg International Piano Competition, runner up to Lee, his future wife.
The program will include works by Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt, and Samuel Barber. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the show at 7.
