HONOLULU (AP) — A man who worked as an Uber driver has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl he picked up in Honolulu.

Luke Wadahara, 24, entered not guilty pleas Thursday to two counts of first-degree sex assault and one count of first-degree attempted sex assault. He appeared in court via video from the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he is being held on $150,000 bail, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported (https://bit.ly/1TzXpIb ).

A police affidavit says Wadahara had picked up the girl and her friends from the Ala Moana Center on April 17. After the girl’s friends had been dropped off, police say Wadahara took the teen to Makiki and sexually assaulted her multiple times.

The victim and her mother had tracked down the suspect’s Uber driver profile and Facebook page and handed the information over to police.

Police located the suspect by tracing the owner of the car he had been driving. Wadahara was arrested at his apartment. Uber has deactivated Wadahara.
