The Volcano Art Center Gallery will hold its festive May Day program 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

With hundreds of fragrant blossoms, and plant materials provided by the gallery, attendees will learn tips to sewing the perfect lei, proper protocol of giving and receiving a lei, and more.

Join the Leinaala Trio featuring Christy Leinaala Lassiter, Lono Kanakaole and JJ Ahuna with impromptu hula by Noe Noe Kekaualua and lei making with Desiree Moana Cruz and Kaipo AhChong.

This event is free and open to the public, however, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park entrance fees may apply.
