The Food Basket presents the inaugural “Blue Hawaii” fundraising event May 6 in South Kohala.
During the 6-9 p.m. event, funds will be raised to support the needy of Hawaii Island. Tom Whittemore will also be honored as a special guest. Tickets are $100 per person and attendees will enjoy a meal of seasonally inspired dishes featuring produce from our Hawaii Island farms and an evening of relaxing Hawaiian falsetto entertainment by Kuleana.
“Together we can find new ways to overcome the problem of hunger in our Hawaii Island communities and continue to improve our well-being with access to healthy food,” said Haidee Abe, Chair of The Food Basket Board of Directors.
