Alfred Alameida
Alfred James “Freddie,” “Papa Freddie” Alameida, 75, of Honokaa, died April 14, 2016, at his residence. Born Aug. 1, 1940, in Ahualoa, he was a retired pipe layer for Willox Construction, a journeyman steelworker for Hawaiian Dredging and Johnston Island, member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Hawaii Saddle Club, Hawaii Rodeo Association and Hamakua Senior Softball League. He was an Army National Guardsman and a former Hawaii champion bull rider who was once recognized as the world’s oldest bull rider.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 30 at Our Lady or Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire to be worn. No flowers.
He is survived by sons, David (Dorothy) Gabriel of Oregon, Bully (Karla) Gabriel of Kalopa, Donny (Noreen) Gabriel of Ainaloa, Derek (Sophia) Gabriel of Kukaiau; daughters, Deborah (Derrick Bihag) Gabriel of Pahoa, Cookie (Clarence) Vick of North Carolina, Donnalen Gabriel of Hilo; brothers, Joseph (Gay) Alameda of Kailua-Kona, Richard Perreira of Ahualoa; sisters, Lovina (Bob) Carvalho of Pahoa, Alice Obina of Ahualoa; 24 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis Ancheta
Dennis Leroy Keanuinui Ancheta, 47, Kailua-Kona died March 30, 2016, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 27, 1968, in Honolulu, he was a security guard with Metro Security, and noted coconut leaf weaver on Alii Drive.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 at Hale Halawai in Kailua-Kona for a celebration of life. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by daughter, Dezsha-Lynn Liu of Waipahu, Oahu; mother, Eileen Canionero of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Derek (Shona) Ancheta of Holualoa, Dennis Kauwe of Honolulu, Dicky Canionero of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Lei (Allan) Bellin of Bradenton, Fla., Maile (Kent) Lewi of Waimea; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eula Keanaaina
Eula Ann Kuuipo Souza Miyasato Keanaaina, 48, of Kailua-Kona died April 8, 2016, at Pohai Malama in Hilo. Born July 20, 1967, in Wailuku, Maui, she was a homemaker and member of Ekalesia o Kupaianaha Church in Wailuku.

Sam Ishigo
Sam Isami Ishigo, 77, of Honomu died April 12, 2016, in Hilo. Born Feb. 10, 1939, in Honomu, he was a licensed real estate broker and owner of Pacific Pan Properties, ran Ishigo Store and Bakery, founded the Ninway Martial Arts Academy and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Private services were held.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette Ishigo of Honomu, children, Rhonda Selner of Phoenix, Kelly Ishigo of San Francisco, Aaron (Amanda) Ishigo of Honomu, Darlene (Andy) Ishigo-Lutz of Oakland, Calif.; brothers, David (Winnie) Ishigo, Harold (Donna) Ishigo, Thomas (Ellen) Ishigo, all of Honolulu, Dennis (Sheila) Ishigo of Hilo; sister, Jean (Wayne) Suzuki of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Marsha Mansker, 62, of Kailua-Kona died March 31, 2016. Born March 2, 1954, in Illinois, she had her own cleaning business.

Deanna Murata
Deanna Misao Murata, 92, of Hilo died March 8, 2016, at the Arzaga Adult Foster Carehome in Hilo. Born Oct. 29, 1923, in Honolulu, she was a retired assistant department manager at Sears Roebuck & Co. at Ala Moana, a member of the Waiakea Uka Bible Church and Kumamoto Doshi Kai.

She is survived by daughter, Helene (Harvey) Tajiri of Hilo; son, Glenn (Trudy) Murata of Honolulu; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
