Marian Berger will hold a watercolor painting workshop May 1 at Volcano Art Center.

The “Up Close” workshop will offer participants the chance to work closely with Berger, whose artwork is also being featured in the “Up Close Exhibition” at the center. The workshop will focus on endemic birds and is open to students of all skill levels.

Cost for the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 1 workshop at the center’s Niaulani Campus is $90 for members and $100 for nonmembers. Space is limited and registration is required.

The workshop will provide paper, paper towels and photos of birds. Students must bring pencils, brushes, watercolors, and a water container.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
