HONOLULU (AP) — The Honolulu Police Department says one of its patrol officers has been arrested for bribery, unauthorized use of a computer and prostitution.

HONOLULU (AP) — The Honolulu Police Department says one of its patrol officers has been arrested for bribery, unauthorized use of a computer and prostitution.

The department says in a news release that the state attorney general’s office arrested him Tuesday night in Waikiki. Police have opened an internal administrative investigation.

The officer has eight years of service with the department. He’s assigned to the downtown Honolulu area. His police powers have been restricted and he’s on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Police did not release his name.
