Mooring will take bay away forever
I moved into Kona Mansions on Walua Road in February, 1975. Walua Road was a beautiful, quiet country lane. A house was built near the south end. Then Walua Professional Center was built. Now there are five large buildings with another being built. On the makai side, 57 fourplex homes went in. The country lane is gone, never to return.
I go to Keauhou Bay and drink in the peaceful, quiet, serene beauty of the bay. No matter where I stand I see all of the bay from one shore to the other.
Now DOBAR proposes seven more moorings. Half the bay will be a parking lot for boats. The beauty of the bay is compromised. Another piece of Hawaii is gone. Lost forever.
