Satoru “Horace” Masaoka, 91, of Hilo died March 29, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honomu, he was retired from Hilo Motors and U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 14 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He id survived by wife, Cecilia Masaoka of Hilo; sons, Ted (Myra) Masaoka of Hilo, Sidney (Sandy) Masaoka of Pahoa, Milton (Elizabeth) Masaoka of Hilo, Lester (Francine) Masaoka of Honomu; sister, Chieko Medeiros of Hilo; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Joyce Poliahu
Joyce Piilani Poliahu, 75, of Kapaau died March 31, 2016. Born July 29, 1940, in Mahukona she retired as a store clerk from Takata Grocery Store.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 15 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawi for an 11 a.m. service. Burial will be at noon at Hawi County Cemetery.
She is survived by husband, William Poliahu of Kohala; son, Garin (Debra) Poliahu of Kohala; daughters, Vonda (Wilfred) Poliahu-Sulliban, Lindal Poliahu, Joella Poliahu, all of Kohala; sisters Emily (Charles) Dewitt of Kohala, Kuulei (Rex) Marquart of Nebraska, Susie (Julian) Martines of Kona, Kanani Mills of Nevada; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen Ann Leeteg, 70, of Mountain View died April 5, 2016, at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired licensed practical nurse with Dr. Ung Lee and member of the Wainaku Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She is survived by husband, Ed Leeteg Sr. of Mountain View; son, Ed (Marjorie Bratt) Leeteg Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Anne Leeteg, Amanda Leeteg, both of Mountain View, Caroline (Lionel) Dodin of Papeete, Tahiti; sisters, Alberta (Augie) Salbosa of Pearl City, Oahu, Linda (Brian) Yamamoto of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Ernie W. Revilla, 64, of Mountain View died April 5, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 7, 1951, in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the County of Hawaii and was in the Hawaii Army National Guard.

Benjamin Watai Jr.
Benjamin “Benjie” Masaharu Watai Jr., 56, Kailua-Kona March 27, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 4, 1959, in San Diego, he was a groundskeeper and maintenance man at Jack Hall Memorial Housing, a landscaper at the Kona Country Club, car washer at National Car Rental, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and member of the Hawaii National Guard.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kona Stake Center on Kalani Street in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow at the Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.

Patricia Stanfield
Patricia Stanfield, 62, of Keaau passed away on Jan. 23, 2016, at her residence. Born in Milwaukee, she was a retired librarian at Keonepoko Elementary School.
Private services were held and her ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean just offshore from her home.
She is survived by father, Harold Stanfield of Menomonee, Wis.; brother, Grant Stanfield of Green Lake, Wis.; sister, Paula Koss of Delafield, Wis.; brother-in-law, Rob Moore of Kapolei.
