Blanche Kutsunai

Blanche Sumako Kutsunai, 84, of Hilo died March 28, 2016, at her residence. Born June 17, 2016, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of the Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Luau Hale Senior Citizens Club.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. April 13 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service. Casual attire is requested. No flowers.

She is survived by son, Stanley (Kathy) Kutsunai of Hilo; brother, Richard (Joan) Urata of Hamilton, Mont.; cousins; numerous nephews and nieces.

Minnie Amaral

Minnie Mae Amaral, 85, of Hilo died March 26, 2016, at her residence. Born Jan. 2, 1931, in Hilo, she was homemaker and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. April 14 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. April 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed. Burial will be at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by sons, Roland (Paulette) Amaral of Kurtistown, Robert (Neehan) Amaral of San Diego; daughters, Virginia McAfee of Virginia, Sharon (Charles) Cabral of Hilo; sister, Evelyn Lawrence of Hilo; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
