“Coffee with a cop” is a national Department of Justice initiative that allows the public to ask questions and learn more about police work in an informal setting.
The program has been implemented in all 50 states since 2011.
Honolulu police officers are holding their first sessions next week. There’s a session Tuesday at a Mililani McDonald’s and a Wednesday session at a Honolulu Starbucks.
