Kona Festivale Chorale presents its Pops Menagerie concert 3 p.m. Sunday at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.
Titled “What a Wonderful World,” the event will feature the chorale’s singers, Meleuhane, Celebration Singers, Gloryland, Jo-Anna Boshard, Misty Mistler and Grace Todd.
Under the music direction of Carson Wilcox and Roberta King, the performance features an eclectic program of memorable classics in the genre of popular and Broadway music.
Featured are a number of selections from several Stephen Sondheim musicals including: “Being Alive” (Company); “Send in the Clowns” (A Little Night Music); and “No One Is Alone” with “Children Will Listen” (Into the Woods); as well as selections from such notable musicals as “With a Song in My Heart” (Spring Is Here); “Over the Rainbow” (The Wizard of Oz); and “Forget About the Boy” (Thoroughly Modern Millie). Also interspersed throughout are cameo selections performed by various solo and ensemble members.
To purchase tickets, call 331-1115 or purchase them at-the-door. Tickets for general seating are $20 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Reserved seating is $25 per adult and $10 per child. At-the-door general seating increases to $23.
