Stewart Miller

Stewart Miller, 44, of Kailua-Kona, died March 2, 2016, at home. Born Aug. 1, 1971, in Naalehu, he worked as a taxi driver for Kokua Hospitality, LLC.

Friends may call at noon March 26 in the small pavilion at Old Kona Airport Park for a celebration of life.

He is survived by his spouse, Frances Bento of Papaikou; father, Clinton Miller Sr. of Papaikou; sons, Dana (Dj) Jarvis Nyman of Minnesota, Micah drake Miller-Bento of LasVegas, Makani Miller-Bento of Papaikou; daughter, Mekelah Miller-Bento of Papaikou; brothers, Satto Miller of Kailua-Kona, Clinton Miller Jr. of Hilo, Erwin (Kila) Miller of Oahu and Shawn Bailado of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Alberta Carreira of Molokai, Rachel Shilley of Washington; one grandchild; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Ricky Ferreira, Sr.

Ricky Lee Ferreira, Sr., 53, of Waihinu, died Feb. 29, 2016. He was born Jan. 26, 1963, in Hawaii. Ricky was a painter and owned his own company.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 26 at Whittington Beach Park for a celebration of his life, with burial to follow at Naalehu County Cemetery.

His is survived by his wife, Shari Ferreira; sons, Ricky (Leandrea) Ferreira, Jr. of Laupahoehoe, Antonia Ferreira of Oregon; daughters, Lokelani Lastimosa, Tiffany Lastimosa and Ashley Ferreira (Nano Perreira-Yurong) all of Kailua-Kona; stepsons, Nathanael Lindsey and William Lindsey, both of Waihinu; stepdaughters, Lehua Lindsey of Kailua-Kona, Chantel Velez of Pahala, and Rosanne Lindsey of Waihinu; brother, Abel Ferreira, Jr. of Las Vegas; sister, Wanda Ferreira of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Leonardo Guerpo

Leonardo “Leo” Estabillo Guerpo, 63, of Kapulena, Honokaa died March 15, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born March 16, 1952, in Santa Praxedes, Cagayan, Philippines, he was a cane truck driver and cane loader operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 26 at the Honokaa Salvation Army for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. A potluck lunch and scattering of ashes will follow.

He is survived by daughters, Glory (Doug) Arnott of Hilo, Jackie Guerpo of Hayward, Calif.; one granddaughter; brothers, Dante (Christeta) Guerpo, Fred Guerpo, both of Haina, Marlino Guerpo of Waimea; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marvin Royce

Marvin Edgar Royce, 92, of Holualoa died March 18, 2016. Born Aug. 7, 1923, in Wilkinsburg, Penn., he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, was a physician and had a private practice in Hawaii until retirement.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 26 at Kona Coast Nazarene Church, 74-5100 Palani Road in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. service. Private burial will follow. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by wife, Margaret Royce of Kailua Kona; sons, Mark Royce of Golden, Colo., Robert (Kerrie) Royce of Mystic, Conn., David (Roxie) Royce of Captain Cook, Craig (Cheryl) Christian of California; daughters, Lisa (Dean) Weinberger of Milwaukee, Claudia Christian (Jack Kerr) of Kailua-Kona; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
