A 16-year-old “modern day Monet” with ties to the islands will unveil her first Hawaii Island art show this evening in South Kohala.

Dimitra Milan lives in Arizona but has family ties to the Hawaiian Islands. She will unveil her first Hawaii Island solo show at 5:30 p.m. this evening at Genesis Art Gallery at Queens’ MarketPlace in Waikoloa.

Milan’s art style is a combination of many styles, but predominantly surrealism and abstract expressionism. Her oil paintings capture Milan’s interpretation of a dreamy world where anything is possible.
