President doing job
nominating Justice
I have to respond to the letter from Barbara Ferraro from March 18. We, the people, have spoken, we voted for Mr. Obama, not once but twice, the American people have spoken.
Our president is trying to do his job, nominating a Supreme Court Justice, it is up to the Republicans in the Senate to step up and do their job, the job that they are being paid to do. Her statement that the elections will be a few short months away, I do not know what calendar she is using, mine says it will be eight months away! They may want to take what is now being offered as a Justice rather than wait till the next president takes office, it might be a lot less to their liking.

Research Toxoplasmosis
for best answer
The best rebuttal to Lesley Tanaka’s letter about AdvoCats and Toxoplasmosis is to encourage people to look it up for themselves through the Mayo Clinic, CDC, Wikipidia, etc.
The Toxoplasmosis parasite only reproduces in cats and is transmitted through contact with their feces. So pregnant women and children are in danger if they touch anywhere cat feces are likely to be — beach sand, litter boxes, tables and surfaces where the cats’ contaminated feet have walked upon. It is then likely to be ingested by kids and pregnant women.

Feral cats are God’s creatures, too
In response to Ms. Tanaka’s letter, she is spot on. As an avid feeder of ferals for four years, it is not the fault of feral cats, they aren’t to blame, it’s uneducated people (residents) who drop litters of kittens anywhere they please instead of doing the right thing and having their cats spayed or neutered.
It’s people with a passion who feed, trap and neuter the dropped litters and provide at least one meal a day for starving cats that, if left to fend for themselves, would suffer and starve to death. They are all God’s creatures.
