Gustav Grassi

Gustav Grassi, 82, of Kailua-Kona, died March 11, 2016 at the Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua. He was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Romania. Gustav was a machinist and work on oil rigs.

Private services are planned.

He is survived by his son, Harvey (Molly) Grassi of Hot Springs, Ark.; daughter, Annelies (David) Robison of Ivins, Utah; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous niece and nephews.

Kiyoko Sugimoto

Kiyoko Sugimoto, 91, of Honolulu and formerly of Hilo, died Feb. 29, 2016, in Honolulu. Born Jan. 15, 1925, in Laupahoehoe, she was a retired Hilo Hospital nurse.

A private service was held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.

She is survived by daughter, Carolyn (Glenn) Nakamoto of Honolulu; and sister, Nobuko Koji of Honokaa.
