AARP Smart Driver class planned
Kona Palisades Association is sponsoring an AARP Smart Driver class at 1 p.m. March 28 at the Palisades Recreation Center on lower Kaiminani Drive.
The class is geared toward the older driver. It does not include driving or written tests only quizzes. It covers subjects that may affect drivers as they age, such as hearing, eye sight, reflexes, safety rules, road rage, rules of the road, problems at intersections, drinking and driving as well as other subjects.
Participants may receive a discount on their car insurance. Class size is limited so early registration is recommended.

Documentary shown at North Kohala library
North Kohala Public Library will show the documentary film, “Beats of the Antonov,” at 6:30 p.m. March 28. This is the final presentation in the winter series of three documentariess in collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent nonfiction film series on PBS.

Camp Tarawa Detachment meets
The Camp Tarawa Detachment No. 1255 of the Marine Corps League will hold its monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the VFW Post, 74-5543 Kaiwi St. Suite 185A.
