Auntie’s Angels will hold its Soup Kitchen ‘n’ Pantry on Saturday at Hualalai Elderly Housing. The charity is seeking fresh fruits and vegetables, paper products and personal hygiene items.

Easter services, activities planned in Waimea
Inter-denominational Easter services and free family activities are planned during an Easter in the Park event on Easter weekend at Church Row Park in Waimea.
A bring-your-own picnic and games are planned on Saturday.
On Sunday, a sunrise service will be from 6 to 7 a.m., hosted by Imiola Church of Waimea. New Hope Waimea Christian Fellowship will host a second Easter service at 10 a.m. A no-charge family-style pot blessing, live music, Easter egg hunt and activities for the keiki round out the islandwide event.

Prince Kuhio hoolaulea set
Villages of Lai Opua Association, Lai Opua 2020, County of Hawaii, KAPA Radio and community stakeholders are hosting the seventh Prince Kuhio hoolaulea from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at West Hawaii Community Health Center.
Entertainment includes Kumu Keala Ching’s Halau Na Wai Iwi Ola, Halau Palamanui, Lito Arkangel, Alii Keaanaina, Gene Akamu and Derek Kalima. There will also be informational, food and vendor booths, keiki bouncers and games.
Prince Kuhio was elected the first delegate to the U.S. Congress as a Republican and authored the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act in 1920.
Island’s first mobile food park opens
The County of Hawaii has opened its first mobile food park on Kuakini Highway, Kona Street Eatz. Located between Big Island Honda and West Hawaii Today, the pilot project aims to support the mobile food industry by providing a safe and legal site for mobile food vendors.
Open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, six vendors participate in Phase I of the program, with more planned. Not all vendors operate in the park every day.
Phase II of the project, scheduled for completion by August, moves Kona Street Eatz to Old Kona Airport Park. This permanent location will include seating, shade structures and landscaping. Events are planned, including a Food Truck Festival highlighting street grindz fare and entertainment.
