“Stress-Less Coloring for Adults” will be held on the Kailua-Kona Public Library lanai at 9:30 a.m. March 19.

Coloring isn’t just for children, it is proven to be beneficial to adults, too. Generating wellness and quietness, as well as stimulating the brain areas related to the senses and creativity, adults are again enjoying this simple form of art and evoking happy memories of childhood.

By concentrating on a straightforward task and allowing yourself complete creative freedom, you will soon find your body and mind relaxing. You don’t have to color inside the lines or finish your picture. You are invited to cast off your digital leashes for one splendid hour of quiet and enter a meditative state of mind. Patterns will be provided, as well as colored pencils. Attendees are welcome to bring their pencils, markers, or crayons.
