Feliza Padilla

Feliza Pascual “Fely” Padilla, 93, of Hilo died March 8, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born May 30, 1922, in Pahala, she was a nursery worker for the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and a Fil American Club.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. March 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. March 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Casual attire, no flowers. Lei are welcomed. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park.

She is survived by sons, James (Alma) Gamiao of Honolulu, Alfred Gamiao of Washington, Pedro (Kim) Padilla Jr. of Washougal, Wash., Joseph Padilla of Vancouver, Wash., Randy (Maedyne) Molina of Hilo, Sandy (Anna) Castillo of Las Vegas; daughters, Marina (James) Failing of Grayling, Mich., Pacita (David) Poe of Aiea, Oahu; brother, Narciso (Ruth) Fernandez of Kealakekua; sister, Ruth (George) Aguiar, Rose Rasay, both of Hilo; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Victoriano Bautista

Victoriano Bado Bautista, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 17, 2016, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 5, 1927, in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippine Islands, he was a retired cook and maintenance worker from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, retired Principal Broker of Victor B. Bautista Realty, a general contractor, avid writer and entrepreneur and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. March 18 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m service. Friends may also call from 8 to 9:30 a.m. March 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire is requested.

He is survived by sons, Benjamin (Diane) Ricardos of Mililani, Oahu, Ben (Mary) Bautista of Keaau, Jose (Loke) Bautista of Hilo, Moses (Elizabeth) Bautista of Kohala, Lito (Jodi) Bautista of Mount Vernon, Washington; daughter, Rose (Steven Bader) Bautista of Hilo; brother, Alejandro (Corazon) Ingel of Honolulu; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins.

Yannick Dellahousse

Yannick Henry R. Dellahousse, 70, of Pahoa died Feb. 22, 2016, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Bourdeaux, France, he was a freelance artist and wood carver.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. March 19 at the Kyser Residence, Makamae St., Leilani Estates for a 10:30 a.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by daughter, Yanna Craig of San Diego; sister, Tina Marie Bryant of Northern California; two grandsons.

Elva Elsner

Elva Harford Elsner, 100, of Ahualoa died March 3, 2016, at home. Born in Oakland, Calif., she was an artist, musician, singer, assistant minister at Unity Church of Hawaii in Honolulu, and organist at the Honokaa United Methodist Church.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. March 19 at the Honokaa United Methodist Church for an 11 a.m. service. Casual attire.

She is survived by daughters, Pamela Elsner, Paula (David) Nurse, both of Ahualoa; hanai daughters, Ann Smith of Ashland, Ore., Elva (Nomer) Gamiao of Honolulu; one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dexter Keahiwahiwa Kapahu Jr., 30, of Hilo died Feb. 9, 2016, at home. Born in Hilo, he was a ground services manager for Island Air.

Juanita Pedra

Juanita Kelahua Grace Pedra, 73, of Naalehu died Jan. 3, 2016, at Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash. Born on June 14, 1942, in Kona, she worked as a supervisor for Royal Hawaiian Orchards in Pahala, and was a former member and officer for the ILWU Local 142, member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. March 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Naalehu for a 10 a.m. Mass. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed. Urn burial will follow at the Naalehu Community Cemetery.

Ronald “Ronnie” “Peanut” V. Perreira, 65, of Waimea died Jan. 24, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was a retired groundskeeper.

Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 19 at the Papaikou Community Center for a visitation, with a luncheon at noon. Family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.

Leatrice Leinaala Silva, 71, of Pahala died Feb. 26, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 1, 1945, in Pahala, she was retired from Laupahoehoe Transportation Co. and a member of Naalehu Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. March 19 at the Naalehu Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for a memorial talk. Urn committal to follow at Naalehu Community Cemetery with a luncheon at Punaluu Beach Park large pavilion. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

Fujie “Fudge” Takayama, 89, of Hilo died Feb. 11, 2016, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born May 9, 1926, in Hilo, she was a retired claims representative from the Social Security Administration and member of the Waiakea Uka Bible Church.

Scottie Iokewe Kaholo Yanagawa, 29, of Hilo died Feb. 9, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept. 8, 1996, he was formerly employed by the Mastercare Co. as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Maikai Veterinary Clinic, and Don’s Grill.

Delton Nascimento

Delton Raymond “Epe” Nascimento, 64, of Pahoa died Feb. 9, 2016, at The Queens Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Ewa, Oahu, he was a singer and entertainer with the band Epicenter performed other rock-and-roll bands including The Moptops, Beowolf, Nebulous and Sextant. He was formerly a security agent for HSI in Hilo.

Friends may call at 10:30 a.m. April 16 at Uncle Robert’s Awa Bar in Kalapana for a celebration of life. Casual attire, flowers welcome. Information: 938-4882.

Violet Puanani Ortiz Silva, 77, of Pahoa died Feb. 26, 2016, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and member of New Hope East Hawaii and the Hilo Adult Day Care Center.

Private family services were held.

She is survived by son, Michael Ortiz of Hilo, David Ortiz of South Dakota; daughter, Valerie Ortiz of Hilo; brothers, Arthur Anderson Jr., Robert Anderson, Snooky Anderson, all of Waianae, Oahu, sister, Leilani Pinero of Waianae, Oahu; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
