William Kimi Jr.
William “Uncle Billy” James Kimi Jr., 93, of Kailua-Kona died Feb.. 19, 2016, at his residence. Born Nov. 6, 1922, in Hilo he was founder and owner of Uncle Billy’s Hilo Bay and Kona Bay Hotels and Kona Inn Shopping Village. He was an entrepreneur, businessman, pig farmer, clothing manufacturer, certified master chef, building contractor, Rotarian, Central Pacific Bank advisor, founder of Aikane Scholarship, an importer and art dealer, member of the Chef de Cuisine, Hawaii Restaurant Association, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Hawaii Restaurant Association. He was also member of the Hawaiian Civic Club, Royal Order of Kamehameha and Chief Alii.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. March 11 at New Hope Christian Fellowship in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Lunch will follow. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. The family requests casual attire. Flowers are welcome. Friends may also call at 10 a.m. March 12 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Alii Drive for a 12:45 p.m. service. The family requests no flowers. Monetary donations may be contributed to Hospice of Kona or Hawaii Island Food Basket. A gathering and celebration of life will follow on the oceanfront lawn of the Kona Inn Shopping Village.
He is survived by sons, Billy (Laura) Kimi III, Kimo (Jeanne) Kimi, all of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Beverly (Stan) Oka of Holualoa, Sandy (Dennis) Yokomizo of Hilo, Daphne (Mahmoud) Moinpour of Los Angeles, Traci (Patrick) Snively of Kailua-Kona; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Long Spencer
Long Rodger Spencer, 54, of Hilo died Feb. 26, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 5, 1962, in Saigon, Vietnam, he was a kitchen helper for a restaurant and a member of the Hilo Church of God.
Private services were held.
He is survived by parents, Edward (Linda) Spencer of Kaumana; brothers, Minh Spencer, Mark Spencer, both of Hilo, Tom Spencer of California; sister, Christina Spencer of Hilo.

Bernice Kadota
Bernice Mitsuko Kadota, 73, of Mililani, Oahu died Feb. 17, 2016, at Wahiawa Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a retired private secretary for county of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation.

She is survived by son, Chadd (Tricia) of Honolulu, daughter, Cori Tamashiro of Mililani, Oahu; brother, David (Pat) Koga of Hilo, sister, Amy Galano of Wichita, Kansas, one aunt, one uncle, three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Peggy Feliciano
Peggy C. Feliciano, 80, of Paauilo, passed away Feb. 25, 2016, at her home. She was born on Oct. 23, 1935, in Kohala. She was a custodian for Paauilo School and also was a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paauilo an altar server for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.
Friends may call March 12 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed; burial at the Kainehe (Kukaiau) County Cemetery at noon.
She is preceded in death by son, Lancer Feliciano. She is survived by husband, Ben Feliciano of Paauilo; sons, Brian (Carol) Feliciano of Rhode Island and Nathan “Nate” Feliciano of Honolulu; daughter, Nadine (Masa) Koyanagi of Paauilo; daughter in-law, Linda Feliciano of Pennsylvania; sisters, Mary Gutierres of Kohala and Florence Arceo of California; brothers, Tino Salvador of Kohala, Tommy (Francis) Salvador of Oahu and Roger Salvador of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leilani “Darling” H. Caitano, 81, of Hilo died Feb. 25, 2016, at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a retired X-ray technician for Hawaii Radiologic Associates and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Hiram “Skinny” Tetsuo Hagiwara, 94, of Hilo died Dec. 29, 2015, at the Straub Clinic and Hospital on Oahu. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired insurance executive for Prudential Insurance, a member of the U.S. Army, Waiakea Uka Bible Church and Club 100.
