A magnitude-3.4 earthquake was recorded Monday afternoon west-northwest of Glenwood in Puna,according to the U.S. Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

A magnitude-3.4 earthquake was recorded Monday afternoon west-northwest of Glenwood in Puna,according to the U.S. Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

The earthquake struck at 12:29 p.m. about 2.9 miles west-northwest of Glenwood, according to the observatory. It had a registered depth of 8.6 miles.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a statement following the temblor.
