Brain Injury Support group meets

The Brain Injury Support group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Rehab Services just mauka of the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union on Hualalai Road.

Rev. Sigrid Hoehler, Rev. Thomas Hohler, and Rev. John Hetherington will give a presentation on Thomas’ continuing recovery from his traumatic brain injury and sharing his steps of recovery from a car accident. Thomas will discuss what therapy strategies were helpful in his functional recovery that continues. Thomas, Sigrid and John will also share a song as part of the presentation.

Invited are all brain injury, stroke or other neuro-trauma survivors, their families and caregivers, interested professionals and the public.

Mauna Kea Soil and Water meeting planned

The Mauna Kea Soil and Water Conservation District will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service Waimea Service Center, 67-1185 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite 148.
