No injuries were reported in the fire that started early Sunday.
The 70 Honolulu firefighters who responded to the gated warehouse encountered limited fire hydrant access and were assisted by three water tankers.
Niu Nursery and Erik Builders occupied the warehouse, with the contents of the building accounting for $1.7 million of the damage estimate.
Warehouse damage has been estimated at a half-million dollars.
