Pacita Ancheta
Pacita Casil Ancheta, 78, of Honokaa, died Feb. 23, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired laborer for Watanabe Floral and a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.
Friends may call from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at the Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire.
She is survived by husband, Franklin Ancheta of Honokaa; sons, George (Norma) Ancheta, Roger (Ethel) Ancheta, both of Honokaa, Jerry (Hannah) Ancheta of Hilo; sister, Olivia Casil Buduan of the Philippines; brothers, Reynario Casil, Eheronimo Casil, Arsenio Casil, Reynaldo Casil, Edwin Casil, all of the Philippines; six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Midori Yamashita
Midori Yamashita, age 93, of Hilo, died Feb. 18, 2016, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 19, 1923, in Papaikou, she was a homemaker and member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and Buddhist Women’s Association (Fujinkai).
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 3 p.m. service. Casual attire requested.
She is survived by sons, Baron (Loretta) Yamashita of Pearl City, Oahu, and Randy (Lesli) Yamashita of Denton, Texas; daughters, Jocelyn Case of Hilo and Ruby (Wesley) Oshiro of Ewa Beach, Oahu; sister, Toshiko Fujisaki of Honolulu; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Paulino Recolan
Paulino “Uncle Paul Agcaoili Recolan, 90, of Holualoa died Jan. 5, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 7, 1925, in Olaa, he was a retired houseman at the former Keauhou Beach Hotel.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Feb. 27 at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor for an 11 a.m. service The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by daughters, Alicia (Randy) Naito of Honolulu, Janese Recolan of Kailua-Kona; two grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.

Benjamin Kneubuhl Jr.
Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Kneubuhl Jr., 98, of Waimea died Jan. 29, 2016, at his Waimea residence. Born Dec. 19, 1917, in Pago Pago, American Samoa, he was a former manager for Kneubuhl Maritime Services in American Samoa and auditor for American Factors.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Feb. 28 at Queen’s Surf Beach in Honolulu for a celebration of life. A service will also be held in March in American Samoa followed by burial of ashes. Memorial donations may be sent to North Hawaii Hospice, 65-1328 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela, HI 96743.
He is survived by daughters, Karen (Gordon Helm) Takei of Waimea, Victoria (Philip Haisley) Kneubuhl of Honolulu; son, James Kneubuhl of American Samoa; brother, Douglas Kneubuhl of California; sister, Frances Opelle of Honolulu; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
