Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners Weldon Kekauoha and Kainani Kahaunaele headline the Kohala Chapter of the Royal Order of Kamehameha’s annual scholarship fundraiser next Sunday.

The 2 p.m. March 6 concert will be the first time Weldon, an Oahu native and recipient of five Na Hoku Hanohano awards, will perform at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea. Kahaunaele, a Kauai native, is the winner of three Na Hoku Hanohano awards for her 2004 debut CD “Nau Oe,” including Female Vocalist of the Year.

A special kahiko performance by Halau Haa Kea O Kinohi under the direction of Kumu Hula Paul Neves will open the event. Emcee for the evening is Penny Vredenburg.

A silent auction precedes the event from 1 to 1:45 p.m.
