Watercolor artist Penny Gupton returns to Kona in March to lead a painting workshop.

Guptop will teach “Tropical Dreams” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15-18 at the classrooms at Akamai Art Supply in Kailua-Kona. In the class, participants will finish or almost finish a 16-by-20-inch painting with Gupton walking them through each step of her painting process. Cost for the four-day workshop is $400.

Gupton most recently served as the artist in residence at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and before that was the resident artist at Kona Village Resort for 25 years. She now resides in Sedona, Arizona.
