Workshop focuses on small business loans

A “Financing for Your Small Business” workshop will be held March 2 at Hawaii Community College – Manono Campus in Hilo, Building 379-1 in the Kaneikeao Room.

During the free, two-hour class, business owners will learn what is necessary to obtain financing and learn about key elements of a loan package and other options for financing.

Teacher workshop presents NASA curriculum

Bishop Museum will present teacher workshops to share NASA-themed curriculum.

The third- to fifth-grade curriculum was created by the NASA STEM teacher team, a team of teachers working with Bishop Museum staff, and has been vetted and approved by NASA. The workshop series consists of a debut face-to-face workshop followed by online sessions. Hawaii Department of Education teachers may receive two professional development credits for attending the workshop and online follow-up sessions.

The workshop is planned from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 5 in the lecture hall at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, upper campus.
