Northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with localized gusts reaching 50 mph are forest through 6 p.m. Wednesday. The advisory covers all of the Big Island, except the Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa summits.
The service cautioned motorists with high-profile vehicles to drive with caution. Any lightweight outdoor objects should be secured.
