Tickets for the 21st annual Kona Brewers Festival go on sale Saturday.

Tickets for the 21st annual Kona Brewers Festival go on sale Saturday.

The festival indulges craft beer aficionados with 72 selections of ales and lagers served up with a wide variety of island-style cuisine from 36 Hawaii chefs. Breweries from Hawaii and the Mainland will each offer two types of craft brews. Top chefs from some of the Big Island’s favorite restaurants will offer their best food pairings, ranging from fresh fish and smoked meats to deep fried avocados and tropical sweets.

The event also features live music and entertainment, the Trash Fashion Show and HomeBrew Competition. Preceding the main event is the Run for the Hops 5K/10K.

This year, the sell-out event will feature two sessions: lunch or dinner sessions at Kamakahonu Bay Beach. Lunch session runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; dinner session runs 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are available by advanced purchase only. Cost is $70, which includes a commemorative event mug, seven 4 ounce brew tasting coupons, unlimited samplings of gourmet cuisine and an afternoon of entertainment. Tickets will be available for purchase at Kona Brewing Co. in Kailua-Kona as well as online starting Saturday at 11 a.m. A $5 fee is assessed on tickets purchased online.
