Anuhea’s new EP is “Shoulders,” featuring six new tracks with the same familiar sound fans know and love, releases today.

With a delicate balance of fragility, strength and sass, Hawaiian born singer/songwriter Anuhea blends engaging lyrics, acoustic soul, pop, rap and reggae into a style that has earned her a reputation as Hawaii’s No. 1 female artist. She’s toured with Hawaii’s The Green, and has played with the likes of Al Green, Babyface, Bruno Mars, Jack Johnson, Ziggy Marley, and SOJA.

“Shoulders” features five original songs written by Anuhea and her own rendition of Chaka Khan’s 1975 original, “Sweet Thing.” The title track was inspired by an ESPN documentary about friendship, commitment, and treating others with respect, and it has already received airplay on stations throughout Hawaii. “Island Inside Me” was released as a single earlier this year and is a collaboration between Anuhea and one of her fans.
