A 19-year-old woman was rescued Saturday near End of the World in Keauhou after she and a 19-year-old man were sucked out of a tide pool and into the ocean by a large wave. The man managed to get back to shore on his own. Rescuers were placed in the water by a helicopter and helped the woman board a passing tour boat. Both patients were taken to Kona Community Hospital.
