As one half of Loggins and Messina, co-founder of the country-rock band Poco, member and key contributor to Buffalo Springfield, Messina has left an indelible footprint on popular music, helping with a number of hits such as “Rock ‘N Roll Woman,” “Kind Women,” and “On The Way Home,” “You Better Think Twice,” “Call It Love,” “Angry Eyes,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance” among other songs.

He has sold over 20 million albums domestically.

Messina’s dynamic new band, featuring Poco alum Rusty Young, plays selected hits from all three of his past bands, as well as some new material.

Doors for the Lazar Bear Productions Honokaa show open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7. Tickets range from $45 to $65.

The show is part of Messina’s three-island tour in Hawaii that includes a Jan. 21 show on Kauai and a Jan. 22 show on Maui.
