Two minor earthquakes rattled the Big Island on Wednesday, according to the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
The first was a magnitude-3.2 earthquake at 1:27 p.m. centered about 3.3 miles south-southeast of Puu Oo Crater, scientists said. The second was a magnitude-3.0 earthquake at 8:32 p.m. centered about 5.3 miles south-southwest of the Mauna Loa summit.
Neither earthquake prompted the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center to issue a tsunami advisory.
