WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) — Maui’s Second Circuit courthouse is closed because of a sewage leak.

WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) — Maui’s Second Circuit courthouse is closed because of a sewage leak.

The state Judiciary says Hoapili Hale is closed Tuesday. Workers have shut off the building’s water and cleanup is underway.

The closure means extended deadlines for all affected cases. All documents that were due during the court’s closure can be filed by the end of the business day on Wednesday.

Hearings or trials that were cancelled will be rescheduled.

Hoapili Hale is expected to reopen Wednesday.

The courthouse includes circuit, district and district family courts for Maui County.
