Ida Gutierrez
Ida May Gutierrez, 80, of Bloomfield, Iowa, formerly of Kona, died Dec. 8, 2015, at the Bloomfield Care Center.
Born Jan. 23, 1935, in South Gate, Calif., she worked at Macy’s, was a member of the Mokuaikaua Church and helped cook food for the homeless.

She is survived by a daughter, Victoria (John) Lenz of Bloomfield; son, Kirt Gutierrez of Kona; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Kathy) Dickey of New York.

Jeannette Henry
Jeannette Katherine Henry, 66, of Captain Cook, died Dec. 21, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Feb. 11, 1949, in Van Nuys, Calif., she was a coffee farmer and a retired industrial hygienist.
Private service held.
She is survived by husband, John Henry of Captain Cook; brother, Jim Gilbert of Roseburg, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews.

Andy Mancao
Andy Kuuipo Mancao, 46, of Honokaa died Dec. 18, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born on Feb. 14, 1969, in Honolulu, he was an executive chef for Halii Kai in Waikoloa.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Honokaa Hongwanji Hall for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by mother, Shirley Toko (Lanny Takahashi) of Honokaa; father, Andrew Mancao of Honolulu; sisters, Cheryl Paiva, Soo-Ling (Lloyd) Leong, both of Honokaa; brothers, Jason Mancao of Honokaa, Andrew Mancao, both of Honolulu; numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Miyoko Matsushita
Miyoko Matsushita, 89, of Papaaloa died Dec. 10, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 21, 1926, in Hakalau, she was a former cook for K’s Drive Inn and a homemaker and member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission and Buddhist Women’s Association.
Private services were held.
She is survived by sons, Glenn (Darlene) Matsushita of Paauilo, Robin (Colleen) Matsushita of Hilo, Aaron (Diana) Matsushita of Kona; daughter, Claire (Leonard) Midallia of Laupahoehoe; brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Gushiken of Honolulu; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas Victor Roberts, 45, of Hilo died Dec. 17, 2015.

Yukio Uemura
Yukio Uemura, 89, of Hilo, Hawaii, died at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015.Born in Hilo, he was an iron worker with Hawaiian Reinforcing Steel Co. on Oahu and an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the Ahualani Kumiai.
Private services were held.
He is survived by his son, Colin (Joni) Uemura of Hilo; two grandsons.
