Foot care expert speaking to seniors
The Kailua-Kona Seniors meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Hale Halawai. The speaker will be Robin Barnett, RN, BSN, of “Happy Feet Professional Foot Care Services.” She will share her profession and skills in serving seniors. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Waimea Ocean Film Festival returns
The Waimea Ocean Film Festival returns for its sixth year with a full schedule of films, filmmaker Q&As, breakfast talks and cultural exhibits and events.
The festival runs Friday through Jan. 4 at various Waimea and Kohala Coast venues before moving to Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where films open the evening of Jan. 4 and continue through Jan. 8.
The 2016 festival screens more than 60 films, primarily by independent filmmakers, and offers an interactive component by having many filmmakers on hand after screenings and at intimate breakfast talks. In addition, Ocean Film stages discussions by special guests in a variety of disciplines and media.

Senior Roundtable Hui to discuss aging
The Senior Roundtable Hui will discuss “After-Holiday New Year Aging Goals” and will hold a “Holiday Memories Share” during its meeting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Jan. 5.
The gathering will be at the Pink Mocha Cafe, just above Home Depot. Discussion will focus on goal setting for socializing, exercise, nutrition.
There is no charge for the meeting other than the optional purchase of coffee or tea.

Freemasons to meet
Kona Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons meets Jan. 6, at the Kona Masonic Center, 73-5577 Kauhola St., No. 7, Kailua-Kona. Activities will begin with dinner at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting at 7. Dessert will be available after the meeting.
