Surrounded by the many friends he has made over the years, Sean Pagett celebrated his birthday in style Sunday morning with the annual Peaman’s Birthday Bonanza biathlon at Kailua Bay.

Surrounded by the many friends he has made over the years, Sean Pagett celebrated his birthday in style Sunday morning with the annual Peaman’s Birthday Bonanza biathlon at Kailua Bay.

The usual names appeared at the top of the time list for the half mile swim and 3.9 mile run.

Cody Ranfranz came from behind out of the water to take the overall win in a time of 39 minutes and 59 seconds. Luis De La Torre (37:24) finished second, followed by the female winner, Bree Wee (39:24).

About 175 competitors showed up for the final Peaman race of the year, wrapping up another solid season for the series of races that began back in 1987.
